I know we’re having a bit of a struggle summer but if you pick up a few bottles of Sangria from Bed Vyne Brew, head to the park, and close your eyes hard enough, I promise you’ll feel like you’re lowkey on vacation. Okay, you may not actually be on vacation but drinking this sangria will give you vacation in Spain vibes or at the very least a nice little buzz. Thats it .. thats the post.

It’s no secret, I love Black owned businesses. One of my favorites is Bad & Boozy. From the branding to the quality ingredients, everything you order makes you feel like you’re living your best life. Their selection of cocktails are filled with fresh juices and premium liquor, so you’re drinking wealth in a pouch or lightbulb or disco ball. I’ve seen a lot of imitation brands trying to do what Bad & Boozy is doing and no shade, but they can’t even compare. Jello shots, fish bowls, custom messaging, Bad & Boozy has it all. If you really want to make an impression at your next function you better put your order in ASAP cuz the way Bad & Boozy is booked n’ busy …. whew chile …. you might miss your chance to sip pretty.
I couldn’t wait to check out Rogers Garden, the new bar in Prospect Lefferts Garden. Let me tell you something, it did not disappoint! The enclosed garden was a thoughtfully put together space, seats for two were dispersed throughout, and all the greenery and plants was a vibe. It’s such a beautiful oasis smack dab in Brooklyn. Pictured above is the Devils Playground. Finally a sorrel cocktail that doesn’t taste like straight syrup. I ended up ordering two of these when I had every intention to try other drinks on the menu. But when Shannon Mustipher blesses a menu It’s easy to find a favorite and stick to it. Good thing I plan to go back and do more “research” on other cocktails for y’all. It’s a hard job but it must be done. Rogers Garden is constantly keeping it interesting with live jazz nights, seafood pop ups. and drink specials. Overall it’s a great neighborhood spot and I’m very excited to have this amazing bar within walking distance. 10/10 you need to go ASAP. Tell em Bar Babe sent you!
My favorite summer wine is Ruby Red Grapefruit Rosé. I end up getting at least a dozen bottles every summer from Little Mo Wine & Spirits Brooklyn. Its so refreshing and its the perfect Rosé to top off a cocktail, make a frozé, and drink straight. I know summer is here when i’m sipping this on somebody’s rooftop.
