Grand Army Brooklyn
Ya’ll I done found your new favorite spot *takes bow*. Grand Army is everythinggggggggg. Arguably the best cocktails I've had this year. The bar was also in a great location and had some of the friendliest, knowledgeable staff. They helped me pronounce things on the menu that were too fancy for me. Major props. The space was pretty open;you can bring a small group of 3-4 and fit comfortably.

Vibe: The bar itself had an old saloon vibe but the rest of the decor was really modern with funky art all about. The music was low enough to carry a conversation so you could here a slew of interesting chit chat. It wasn't significantly diverse but it didn't feel pretentious or like it excluded anyone. Some bars that tend to have one kind of clientele can feel really uncomfortable but this place gave me a very welcoming and chill vibe.
Date night: 10/10 As soon as I’m able to catfish someone into a date, I’m taking them here. After dark, the lights dim making for an extra intimate vibe. *swoons* Also cute for a friend date or even taking your parents when they come to town...you can stuff your face with oysters while they ask you when you're having kids.
Finding a date: 4/10 You know what? You might find a lil honey in here. Though people were paired, there were some singular bar goers present. Catch yourself during their busier ours and you might catch you a babe.
Drink quality 10/10/10/10 - The quality of these drinks are what really got me. The two cocktails that are a must have are the Scootaloo and the Derpy Hooves. Don't fight me on this. Just drink up.
Price $14+ the cocktails are pretty pricey as well as the bar bites but also so entirely worth every penny. If you’re trying to bar babe on a budget, maybe go here when you get your coins up.
Should you go here: Mannnn I’m telling you go! The day after I went, I damn near grabbed strangers off the street just so I could talk to them about Grand Army. This place is the G.O.A.T.
Food: The small dishes here are phenomenal. How do they take something as insignificant as bread and butter and make everything from the presentation to the taste equivalent to a 5 star restaurant. Get this guys...They don't even have a kitchen…they have a hot stove…A HOT STOVE! If you go please get the bread and butter, the deviled eggs, and the oysters. Man just get one of everything!
